loved this record!! it sounds stupid but it’s true: i was listening to “the philadelphia grand jury” and there’s something there that makes me feel sad..maybe the piano… but yeah…it makes me feel sooo sad! (??)
This album is a work of art. This isn’t just music – there is nothing that can touch this. It is totally original, fascinating, powerful, nasty, funny. Unexpected phrases, ideas and single words are fired off. This is the life of a modern woman for who things are just not working out. A kind of blues for the 21st century – Eleanor sounds so tough and so bloody cool as everyone else seems to be pissing her right off.
I am halfway through viewing one of your songs. Your fans are incredible publicists. I am not yet qualified to say whether their “more than music” claim is justified, but it’s something to listen to whilst I work on my nowhere-near-complete novel.
So, at present our music sounds like music.
Arty.
I think your fans should listen to The Stranglers.
